A Rich and Storied

Heritage

Over six decades ago, Guidi Brothers Construction was founded. Today, the third generation of the Guidi family continues to build on the rich heritage of the Guidi name in the Greater Philadelphia area, crafting sought after homes of beauty and functionality.  Over the past few decades, the company has won numerous awards and continues to build upon their unique approach to homebuilding.  This special combination is the unmistakable hallmark of all our homes.  With every client, we take time to listen to you and fully understand your vision.  We thrive to make every home tailored to your needs.


1933

The Guidi Brothers, Enzo and John, arrive in the USA from Italy and go to work with their Father remodeling homes in Philadelphia

1946

Enzo and John start a small building firm - Guidi Brothers.

1954

Enzo opens E.P. Guidi, Co.

1960

Enzo builds his first 7-11 store in Willow Grove, PA. 7-11 is his first major client. The company goes on to construct over 350 7-11s thoughout the tri-state area.

1963

E.P. Guidi incorporates and throughout the next six years, Enzo's sons, Gene, Peter, and Phillip begin to work for the Company.

1986

With their commercial construction background, the three sons establish Guidi Homes and build their first major community, Gwynedd Hunt; 186 Town Homes in the heart of Gwynedd Valley.

1989

Gene is made President of E.P. Guidi, Inc., Peter is made President of Guidi Homes, and Philip is made President of MidAtlantic Construction. With their vast construction experience, the companies all begin to operate on their own; independent of one another.

1990

MidAtlantic Construction begins servicing commercial accounts in the Greater Philadelphia Suburban Area.

2002

Guidi Homes' Spring House Farm Community wins the HBA Pinnacle Awards for "Community of the Year" and "Single Family Home of the Year." Brad, Matt, and Phil Guidi, the fourth generation of the Building family, begin to enter the business.

2008

Guidi Homes is selected to be Philadelphia Magazine Design Home builder for 2008 and wins the Pinnacle for "Custom Home of they Year" for over $2M.

2009

Guidi Homes is selected to be Philadelphia Magazine Design Home builder for the second consecutive year in a row at Haverford Reserve.

2010

The Carriage Homes at Haverford Reserve is voted the year's Best Suburban Residential Project by the Philadelphia Business Journal and wins six HBA Pyramid Awards.
